Repurpose a muslin or jersey wrap

I was gifted some gorgeous jersey & muslin swaddles when my children were born & have since outgrown the use of them. Though the swaddles have only been lightly used, I feel uncomfortable about passing them onto another family, given the nature of the spills they have mopped up during their lifetime! The fabric is too lovely to throw them out, so I decided to repurpose them using some of our patterns.

A muslin wrap is about 50x100cm (20x40") in size, and come in such a beautiful array of sweet prints so they are the perfect cloth for trying out a new pattern and are a fabulous free addition to your fabric stash!

Double gauze, or muslin is the perfect baby & toddler fabric - lightweight, breathable, soft & natural. I made a size 2yr Ava Top from this lovely star print wrap, and still have some left over for another project.

From an organic cotton jersey swaddle I was able to squeeze in a size 6-12m Frankie Short & Parker Top.
