An essential baby & toddler summer outfit consisting of a simple woven tank top & bloomers.
Downloadable PDF pattern - print at home on A4 or US letter. A0 copy shop/large format file is also included. Patterns are layered and colour coded - please read the printing instructions.

Tank Top - has a self neck & armhole facing and a back split with single button & loop.
View A has a plain clean finished hem, while view B has a hem ruffle.
Download includes a bonus tutorial showing how to finish the neckline & armholes with self bias binding.
Bloomers - has elasticated waistband & leg openings. There is enough room to be worn over cloth nappies. View A is plain while view B has an added ruffle at the waist edge.
Sizes 0-3m, 3-6m, 6-9m, 9-12m, 1yr, 2yr, 3yr, 4yr
Ability level - Beginner
Required machines - a basic sewing machine & overlocker (serger)
Required trims:
Tank top - 1x 10mm/16L button
Bloomers - 6mm (1/4") wide elastic for leg openings & 1.2cm (1/2") wide elastic for waist
Recommended fabrics - lightweight woven cottons such as lawn, poplin & double gauze & lightweight to mid weight linens
Sizing:
The patterns are designed to fit an above-average sized child (around the 75th percentile) for the year that matches their age. For example, if the child is an above average-sized 18 month old, a size 1yr will still have some room to grow. In most cases there is no need to size up unless the child is at the very top end of the growth charts. If the child is small, do consider sizing down, or expect that the fit will be generous.
Baby model is 14 months old and is wearing size 1yr (and there is lots of room to grow).
Girl model is 4.5 years old, above average sized and wears size 4yr top & bloomers over undies.
